I were just trying to connect a gear position sensor to pin 37 , for some reason iI couldn't get the syvecs to read the voltage change, then under cOnnection it says connected but not in sync?! Also now I have noticed it says it's booted to boot code 1.2. Have I murdered it?! :o note battery were a little low
Sorry for the essay but hope to hear back soon!

Jonny

I think you have connected it into a wrong input. Find a suitable input(bipolar, unipolar, voltage or resistive input) according to position sensor you have.

The answer to why it won't boot will be in the status messages in the bottom right hand corner of the SCal display. Most likely your sensor setup is asking for an input configuration that the ECU cannot provide, eg input type set to THERMISTOR on an AB input will cause it to fail to boot. Only 5V and and 5V BIPOLAR are supported on those pins. It is a SOFTWARE check that is making it fail to boot, you should not need to do anything to the pins. It is also possible that the flash failed due to poor battery voltage; if this is the case then simply charge the battery or put a booster pack on it and flash it again. Of the two possibilities the latter is somewhat less likely.

Hope this helps,

Pat.
