S6 GP wiring to beginner ?

Hello and greetings from Finland !
My project (405 mi16 with turbo) is now on good situation (been on the road for ten years but on this year I have done everything again: engine, electrisity etc.) and I am starting to connect my S6. This is my first time to do all connections by my self (time to learn) and my knowledge is quite poor..
I had DTA for some years and it was quite simple to connect (had simle intructions). S6 is just too much to my knowledge and I need many advice. Pins does not tell me much on S6 pinout.
Lambda, Lan, EGT, Knock, ignition ja injection connections are clear to me
Questions:
1. Where to connect CAL-switch (black and white wire) ?
2. Where to connect 2-pin sensors as (watertemp, oiltemt, airtemp) ?
3. Is camshaft HALL sensor => 5Vout and AV1-4 ?
4. Throttle => 5Vout, ANGND2, AV1-4 ?
5. VR sensor => AB1-4, ANGND1 ?
6. Map sensor => 5Vout, AV1-4 ?
7. Fuelpump relay => ???
8. Boost control Valve => ???
9. TPS 3-pin Bosch version => ???
10. RPM out => ???

Hiya Mikko!
Some answers for you :
1) You can connect the CAL switch to any spare input if it's a universal type (three wires). If it's a two wire one then you need to connect it to an AR or AU input. Black wire to ANGND. Red wire if it has one to 5VOUT.
2) Water, oil and air temp being thermistor type sensors should be connected to AR inputs, or if you run out of those, AU inputs. Other wire to ANGND.
3) You cannot use AV or AR inputs for speed type signals, only AB and AU inputs will work. For a Hall type sensors you are best with AU inputs. If the sensor is a 2 wire then an AU and ANGND, if it's a 3 wire then 5VOUT, AU and ANGND.
4) Yes, that will work fine. Potentiometer type signals are best on AV inputs, or if you run out AU or AB.
5) Yes, that will work fine. VR type sensors should go on AB inputs only.
6) Yes, that will work fine. Voltage output type sensors should go on AV inputs, or if you run out, AU or AB.
7) Fuel pump relay can be controlled by any spare AUX or INJ output.
8) Boost control valve can be controlled by any spare AUX or INJ output.
9) TPS - do you mean throttle bypass valve (you already listed your Throttle Position Sensor above). A 2 or 3 wire Bosch type TBV can be driven by any spare AUX or INJ output.
10) Tacho output can be controlled by any spare AUX or INJ output.
It is a good idea to use separate analogue ground for "noisy" and "clean" signals, ie things like crank, cam, speed etc on one and things like TPS, MAP, ECT etc on the other.
Any unused INJ output can be used for any other on/off or PWM type function. Any AUX output can be used for on/off or PWM type functions. Any spare IGN output can be used for on/off or PWM type function. All INJ and AUX outputs are open collector (switched earth), so you will need to supply +12V [do NOT use 12VOUT] to relays / actuators, an ignition switched live from the ignition barrel will work for this. All IGN outputs are push-pull with either +5V or +12V "high" and 0V "low", they are low current so fine for driving ignitors but NOT directly for coils.
Hope this helps,
Pat.

Thanks !
This helped me a lot so now I can continue wiring and finnish my own pinout drawing
One more question come to mind:
1. I have installed a speed sensor to my rear wheel (to have no slip speed signal to gear controlled boost). Sensor is originally from bicycle

(worked fine on Apexi AVC-R) and there is magnet on the wheel and the sensor which reads magnet (I guess like HALL sensor ? ). Sensor have two wire (ground and signal) so where do I connect wires ?

Signal Goes to AB Input and Ground goes to ANGND
Then just do a trace for that AN Input and set up the voltage thresholds for when the magnet passes

How to make sure that S6 is working correctly and gets its power/ground ?
I connected 3 Vbat pins (19-21) and 6 ground pins (44,45,47,67,68,70). Also 4 Lan pins (49-52) Cat5 pairs 1-2, 3-6 as on forum topic.
Program does not find S6 (device not found) and computer does not find any lan connection. I checked that power comes to S6, grounds are connected and Lan pins ok.
Or what I am missing

What Version of windows are you using ?

Faul found and It was my mistake
Two Lan wires got mixed... Now computer find S6 and it is working.
Is there any instruction to the software ? like first steps to basic settings, what you have to do first to make sensors work ect. ?
I didn`t look it much (just a first test) but it where connected but not sync ?

The box at the bottom right of the screen shows messages from the ECU. If you are not in sync then the ECU will be unhappy about something and it will tell you in that area. The most likely thing is that if you have a blank calibration it will tell you that you MUST assign a crank input (it would struggle to run an engine without one!). This means you'll need to go into the I/O config and tell it that Cranshaft Position Sensor A is on AN1 (or wherever you have wired it, but it must be on AN1-4 for a VR sensor or AN5-8 for a Hall type sensor). Once you've done that it will also want a cam sensor, so again assign the Cam (Phase) sensor input to another pin. With those defined it should boot up OK and get into sync. If you can give us some more details of your sensors and wiring schedule I'm sure we can give you a calibration that should get you most of the way to a running engine
Cheers,
Pat.

Nice
I will get back on these issues when wiring is done.
Btw my camsensor is still under work (car don`t have it on stock) so I might have to drive first without it so how to do that with cranksensor / "waste spark" ? Also injection is going to be of course without sequential.
And for the future false connections, is there any pin removal tool ? I try to ask here for many shops and nowhere were so small tool ? Basic bosch tool is too big.
