DBW to control boost pressure

Hi, has anyone here used a DBW mounted on cold side/plenum successfully to control boost pressure, with or without an external wastegate?
Thinking of going this route on a Radical 1340cc turbocharged with a GTX3076 for time attack.
But how would one implement it?
Using Supercharger boost control/closed loop boost control? but strategies seem limited here compared to what you can do under wastegate control or i am missing something?
I know that this setup must use turbo speeds as they have a tendency to overspeed on low boost settings so it must be used along side.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

And reason for this ?

Pretty sure I seen some tests where using cold side exclusively yielded less power and higher EMAP than a more traditional control. Can't find them now though.

For some drag applications, operating in a narrower rpm/power range, this might be able to be targeted to work.

For a more normal application such as you describe, not sure it would be the best option ?

Generally the most common use seem to be to bleed off the cold side prior to and during launch to keep a very large turbo spooled, and then once going reverts to normal hot side control ( or all the boost in the case of some drag setups that may not use hot side at all )

Thanks for your reply.
My reasoning was that since you are not bleeding from the exhaust side that like that response would better and less laggy but cant seem to find
enough information to make it worth a try and that is why i am asking maybe someone has tried it and shed some light.

Not sure if it would do that or not, not really convinced it would ?

If you've gone from off throttle to on, and your w'g is closed during spool....I don't really see how it would improve that scenario ?

You'd probably be better starting off with a good fast spooling turbo like a BW EFR or something

As said, the only times I've heard of either using no w/g or bleeding off cold side only, are big diesels or dedicated drag stuff.

But whether a DBW unit, turbosmart e-gate, etc etc...I think there were options for e-gate type control ? Or maybe it required custom tables, not sure. Should be same idea for control whether hot side or cold. The leak reduces boost, or increases boost. Simple flip of control duties one way or the other.

I think i will go the normal way with the external wastegate as i am pretty familiar with controlling them with the S8 and yes i go with a fast spooling turbo like the BW EFR of which i have used too with success and know how they respond.
And if i am in need of more response i can introduce some fresh air antilag to the mix :D
