Syvecs 50 Hz GPS CAN setup

Hello, I need to get the syvecs 50 hz gps module hooked up to a motec c185. I believe I have the CAN wiring set up correctly, but am lost on how to set up the communication between the two. What exactly do the CAN output description pages in the manual mean/used for? What are the bytes and how do they play a role in communication via CAN?
