When wiring a toggle style switch for launch activation do I go 12v from the switch to the input or 5v or do I go from input to switch to earth?

Generally switch to ground, and set the input to thermistor. Although I guess you could switch it to 5v too ?
Although generally I have launch active all the time via CAL position.
It's never actually active until you're stopped and pedal etc is over the thresholds. So even with it on all the time, normal driving it would never actually operate.
So isn't a huge need to turn it off via a switch
