Datalogging

Hi guys, just a question, how can we expand the datalogging on the Syvecs S6?
I'm running a S6 in my 600+ hp Subaru and use a Racepack IQ3 dash without datalogging option. The ecu has some memory for logging, but the timewindow is to small ( shortage of memory?)
Is there a way to do more with the ecu?

With kind regards,

Renzo

too small for what, and how much do you need ?

The less you log, the longer you can log for.

Burst logging can make more efficient use of the small memory available.

You can stream logging to the laptop for almost infinite logging.

Or I think the D5 dash can be used to log ?

Im running the car at Time Attack and we want to log all needed info from the ecu. But the memory in the ecu is not sufficient for a 20 min run. And leaving a laptol in the car is a no go.

As Stevie said, scrap the current dash and get a http://www.syvecs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... a118#p6658 D4, D5, unit with unlimited USB logging upgrade, that will solve all your data logging needs + be really good addition for track work.

As Rice says, options are kinda limited

Dash logger is one solution, and using the Syvecs dash the logs would still be in the normal format for SView....sadly, S7 or higher is another option.

Neither cheap, although resale values on old ecu's will still be very good to offset some cost.

I did suggest a few years ago that an ethernet logger would be a nice addition for those with the limited S6, it never really gained any ground though, and with the new S7 which has decent memory....not much of a need for such a thing anymore.

My solution is an embedded carpc for long time logging.
