Does any have some what close Dwell times for Standard Subaru blacks coils packs. Mine is flat 3.5ms across the board and i think its contributing to Slight faint missfire
My table shows, Battery voltage vs TPSMAX.
If anyone has Dwell times for that layout that seem to be working wel with black original Subaru coil packs. let me know.
However, Id rather have my table be Battery voltage Vs RPM, this way I can match the Dwell times exactly to what Standard Subaru rom has and make it like for like.
Can this be changed from Battery voltage vs TPSMAX to Battery voltage vs RPM.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Subaru have made a lot of coils over the last 30-40 years, you'd need to be a bit more specific.
But yes the table can be changed to RPM, but boost/MAP would be more typical.
Change in View/Customising options.
Best way to determine optimum dwell for your specific coil is get a scope and current clamp and monitor coil charging current. It will ramp up and then flatline when it has reached it's peak state of charge, that's usually the most dwell time you'd want to run
Generally you'd dwell longer at low battery voltages to aid during cranking etc, and maybe a bit less at higher than "normal", whatever your normal stable running voltage is.
Some may overdwell at higher boost/loads, but this does stand a chance of reducing coil life. Some coils may tolerate this more than others

Re: Dwell times Subaru black coil packs.
There was only two types of coils for newage Subaru,
Mines a 2001 bugeye, Which has "black coil" packs. There are also grey packs but those have different dwells.
See my idea was simply just going set the dwell times exactly the same as what Standard Subaru Ecu rom files has for that specific car. On those tables in the rom file they have them as Battery voltage Vs RPM.
Since these setting are what Subaru uses. I just wanted to copy them over, like for like. As that should work fine without any complication and shouldn't run a risk of over heating the packs. Im not runing huge power nor huge amount of boost.
Im Runing same power now on Syvecs as was when was when I was on the original Ecu. I didn't have any issues. So using those setting should be enough, to keep the car happy.
Ill check the view customising options and take it from there.

Re: Dwell times Subaru black coil packs.
Now ive come across different issue, which requires me to add more break points to that which ive chnaged from TSP to RPM but cant see an option of how to do that.
Looks like might need to set it up in different way.
