Reducing Rev Hang

Post by matt-c »

What is the best strategy to reduce rev hang and have the RPM fall faster?

I don't want to compromise my primary ignition table, perhaps there is something in the DBW strategy but I'm not sure.

you need to establish why the revs are hanging in the first place.

IS the throttle not doing what you want ? Is it something else ?

Well i'm not sure, TPS returns to about 5% when PPS is near zero.
Target TPS for PPS 0 is 0 in DBW table and 4.97 for 5% PPS, so with PPS at 0.9 shoud i expect the TPS to be at the minimum also?

TPS can be driven to less than 2.5% if needed by closed loop idle.

for most part all that matters is if TPS is tracking TPS target properly.

if it is staying higher, that might cause revs to drop slower, or this plus too much fuel or timing or something.

Datalog it and see what is happening.
