long tooth gap

What causes a longtooth gap sync fault to appear even when engine is in 720 and has previously had no sync fault

could be slow cranking, or the trigger gaps set a little too small ?

Thanks for reply mate .found the problem the trigger wheel was rusty have cleaned it up and done 3 runs and no long tooth gap
