Ecu for B series Honda engine?
Ecu for B series Honda engine?
What is available? And what are my options for triggering if looking to get away from the stock distributor?

S6 will do pretty much anything you'd ever need an ecu to do for the 4cyl engine.
But are there any specific tasks above/beyond normal you need ?

I imagine there are coilpack (COP) conversions available for this engine, then you could dispense with the distributor, and the S6 can activate the VTEC if you have it. Romain, at Syvecs, is the one to speak to I would think.

Hello Rich.B
You will have a lot of different options for the Honda B/D/H-series, most of the people going Syvecs for those engines are running a sensor on the crank pulley and another one on the cam pulley for the 720sync. The other options is to run the AEM Engine Position Module in place of the distributor which works through a double Hall effect sensor running a 12 teeth crank / 1 tooth cam and will work well with the Syvecs. It is also really easy to set up.
The downside is that like all other cam only sensor, the sensor can be moved and the based position related to the crank can be altered.
While you have done that, you will be able to run the K-series coils that can be fired directly through the Syvecs or any other smart coils for that matter.
