Engine running output for auto start to turn off starter.

Post by Supradupra.com »

I have a 1jz Supra (This one in fact: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=177)

I need an output form the ECU to interface with my push button / auto start system. Previously I have used the charge output form the alternator however, since changing the alternator this no longer does what I require.

Basically I need an output that changes state once the engine is running, preferably pulled low for stopped & high for running.

This is used to stop the cranking of the engine once its fired up.

I have a spare output - Pin 23 Inj 8 - which I believe can be used as an output.

I need to know how to turn this into the output I need.

Cheers.

Indeed very much like that!

Sadly my firmware is old enough not to have that & I don;t want to get involved with updating it at present.

I had more of a head scratching today & have instead used the G6 alternator charge output & set that to switch off at very low RPM which has provided me with exactly what I require :D

Just update the firmware or get someone to do it for you.

Already sorted with above method so, no need.

Will mess about with firmware when I have more time to plough through the procedure. Rite now its unnecessary.
