Was going to send an email on this, but thought I might as well post here for posterity. Do the S6 and/or S8 support Alpha-N (TPS) as the engine load, or just MAP / speed density? Couldn't find reference to this anywhere...
I'm considering an upgrade to my current EMS, but my engine is naturally aspirated with oversized independent throttle bodies, currently running Alpha-N and I'd want to know if I'd need to switch to MAP.
Thanks in advance.
Alpha-N?
Re: Alpha-N?
You can do just about anything, for example.
Tps Load (Tradional Alpha-N)
Tps load with 2d compensation for MAP
Tps Load with 4d MAP compensation (so thats proper 4d with multiple 3d map Vs rpm maps at different TPS levels)
TPS Load blended into MAP load
Map Load
Map load with 2d compensation for TPS
MAP load with 4d TPS compensation
MAP load blended into TPS load
Tps Load (Tradional Alpha-N)
Tps load with 2d compensation for MAP

TPS Load blended into MAP load

MAP load with 4d TPS compensation
MAP load blended into TPS load
Re: Alpha-N?
Perfect. I figured that had to be the case, but I saw reference in an older thread to Syvecs being a Speed Density setup in reference to a question about MAF, and wanted to make sure that Alpha-N / TPS strategies were still available...
Out of curiosity for MAP - is there a MAP sampling algorithm that can allow MAP to be sampled at certain crank angles (or something along these lines) to improve the accuracy of the MAP signal for ITB engines with larger cam profiles?
Thanks again.

Re: Alpha-N?
The ECU already does this as standard, but I don't have any specific details I can give you beyond that.
