2- 3 port Mac Valve

Post by 2quick4u »

Hello, new to forum and looking for some guidance I am changing from one mac valve to two on my GTR (xona rotor 72mm) Tail wastegates can I still use the wastegate 1 control in I/O config to control the mac valves or do I have to run a mac valve to wastegate antiphase 1.

After reading through the Syvecs manual I would thing I need to use the anti phase because I have two mac valves. cheers

This how it is plumbed and wired now.

Unusual way of connecting them there.

I guess how you connect and configure, depends on what you're trying to achieve.

I’m trying to control boost right I can’t make over 30 psi no matter how much I add in the wastegate duty table.

"right" means different things to different people.

If you need more boost, blow into the gate to close it, and/or use a stiffer spring.

But if there are other mechanical limitations, doesn't matter what you do with the gate you may not get more.

It's a package, all aspects need consideration

I meant to say right now I can’t make over 30 psi when I up the duty cycle it should make more boost do I need to run one of the Mac valves to the anti phase or run both Mac valves of wastegate 1

And as a said, there are many variables. From gate control plumbing, mechanical parts, and ecu configuration.

I do not know how or if what you have works at all or is correct.

Your solenoid setup is already a little unusual.

So again, keep it simple. For maximum boost blow all available control pressure into the gate to keep it closed.

There are various ways you can achieve that, with one or multiple solenoids, with or without the antiphase aspect.

But again, if there are other mechanical limitations, doesn't matter what happens in the ECU, you may not get your desired result.

If you want to email me your calibration? Do many phase anti phase set ups, same valves, mixed valves you name it. There are some tips/tricks etc could save you some experimentation if you want a known set up. Does you dealer not know how to do this? or did you buy car with the ECU fitted?

Anyway if you want help just get in touch.
