Half Shift with Wheel Speed Gear Position
Hi all, I am currently running a motorcycle engine (so N is a half shift between 1 and 2) with pneumatic shifting. I understand that Syvecs supports half shifts to and from N if a clutch switch is depressed and the gear position reads either 1, N or 2. However, my engine does not have a dedicated ge...

Thanks for your input. Yes the linearizations are set to 0V throughout.

S8 Thermocouple Wiring
Hello again, I posted earlier regarding thermocouple wiring but I am still having issues. I have two K-type thermocouples wired directly into the S8 through the four specified pins. The wiring on both the thermocouple and ECU sides is correct, but the voltage reading is constant regardless of temper...

Thermocouple pins
Hi all, I am trying to wire thermocouples into my S8. I am aware that no linearization is needed within the software and the leads can be plugged directly into the designated ECU pins. The issue is with the pins on the connector. I use a connector similar to the following with pins connected to the ...

Re: Downshift Gear Cut
Good news gentlemen, the issue has been solved. The "downshift under power" parameters were not set correctly so the ECU was always trying to blip instead of cut. Since the car does not have a blip motor, I configured the under power settings such that the car would always be downshifting ...

Re: Downshift Gear Cut
Thank you for your replies. Yes this is an S8 and the firmware version is 1.527, which is not the latest. My apologies, I should have clarified earlier. The gear shifting setup is a pneumatic system for a GSXR motorcycle engine. The upshift and downshift outputs within SCal are wired to two separate...

Downshift Gear Cut
I have two buttons configured to paddle upshift and downshift within SCal. The issue I am having is that the gear cut is not working for downshifts. The parameter "gearCutRequest" is not activating for some reason. Both the cut enable engine speed and throttle position values are correct, ...

Multiple CAN Bus Outputs
I have one CAN bus line coming from a Syvecs S8 into an external datalogger. I would like to add a dash instrumentation device which requires a CAN input. In the S8 pinout sheet there are two CAN outputs listed but I can't find a way in SCal to differentiate between the two. The CAN output going to ...
