Re: Engine Management Systems Tuning Courses
Just FYI, "Jack", is a spambot. Another one...yet another one. I've reported it a few times, but it's still there. As I have the JTi section here - and perhaps accidentally - I ended up with moderator privileges and for the last few years have been deleting the spam posts. I have not been...

S6 cannot receive additional inputs via CAN. Is this S6?stevieturbo wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 10:17 am For what purpose exactly ? I'd doubt the ECU master would be compatible ?
If S7, with 2x CANbus, you can receive data via CAN and the ECU master expander can almost certainly be configured to work.

Re: S7-I and S7Plus Can1 Fixed Datastream - DBC
It's a limitation of the slave protocol rather than X10. Not enough bandwidth on the link to cope with much extra data.

:!: Warning - my information might be a few years out of date but I am 99.9% sure it still applies :!: The "slave" protocol runs in a non-standard fashion, at a non-standard data rate. It both transmits and receives "slave" data frames over the CAN link and is (pretty much) exclu...

Re: Electronic Steering
I have heard quite a few people report S7 outputs causing relays to turn on when the ECU is off. Whilst Stevie is right - it is best not to have a relay powered by a permanent live - I personally do not think it right that an ECU output can sink enough current to turn on a relay when the output is o...

Re: Can receive question for rotary switches wheel speed ect.
As a general reply, if you assign X-CAN to a device/sensor then the scaling of the received data should match the format that would be used in the transmit stream. In the case of a CAL switch I believe that means it will expect 1, 2, 3 etc, rather than the mV equivalent/replication of an electrical ...

Re: Anti lag hardware/software setup
If you only want ALS active while the switch is pushed, you can use a momentary switch without issue. The software doesn't know the mechanical construction of the switch. If you want a press/release of the momentary switch to turn it on, and a second press/release to turn it off then, as has been sa...
