Thanks Stevie
Knockthreshold now on scfg, Areas at low knockbase raised slightly. More logging needed to see whats going on.
Also lowered the Hz of knock as that was wiping out my logging memory a bit.

Re: Ignition retarding
Rate - F1 Help -didnt have that on ! Thanks!
I've tried CYLxKnockthresh and its not there for the S6 v1.74.2 using a new config, not my own. So i guess there is a bug there somewhere (or i need a new cfg file?)
ok to upgrade - i idnt think it would be free :p
thanks

Re: Ignition retarding
Stevie ok thanks. Will have a look and see what the values are on the car. I cant see how you can see what the logging frequency is in the log. Am i just being blind ? I have a feeling the old cfg was set to knock even logging @ 1khz, so may be that is still there. I'll also add the knockbase to the...

Re: Ignition retarding
Stevie i've checked the scfg that i put on the car and its 50hz yes the 5degrees was before this but for some reason there was no log for that, even though its set for 2500rpm + 25% throttle. It cant be happening before that!? I've looked at what else could be affecting the ign regtarding an...

Re: Ignition retarding
Ok thanks stevie. Will post the log when back at the pc. IIRC the knock is 50hz retard degrees is 10.
Should have said it's not retarding on others but similar noise present on knock cylinders.
It's only got the basic knock in the ecu.

Ignition retarding
Hi all, Any advice on whats going on with silly (1/2 throttle, low-ish boost ) ignition retards? (cel light - as thats set to 4 degrees). Looks like its occuring on lift off but also it has already occured (not captured unfortunatly) and still retarding Cyl4 before the larger spike. Am i just too hi...

Re: Overrun Fuel Cut
Exactly the problem i have. have to set it stupidly high >2000 otherwise when you start, or fall back into idle, sometimes it oscillates. Ryan solved the issue by inceasing the leve but 2000 is a bit high / wasteful when you're using the car daily.
