RS232 Data Stream Issues

Post by Nodalmighty »

RS232 output.

Can someone point me to the PI and Pectel RS232 data packet structure, checksum, baud rate and frequency data?

Also, I have a micro controller reading the STACK stream and displaying the contents on a pair of LCD screens but every now and then a bogus value (I assume it's not corrupt as it passes the checksum) that gives either a silly speed or rpm peak occurs is this a known bug?. Also does the Syvecs lock the value in the data stream to a error substitute if one occurs as I have had EGT lock at 900c and oil temp lock at 120c which clear down and work fine after a key off/on.

I would check your sensors. Those are the standard default values for those respective sensors, and I suspect the Syvecs is decideding they have failed and defaulting them. Go into your sensor setups and check the sensor failure criteria.

If you were to be connected with SCAL at the same time, I would imagine you would see the same values displayed.
