Syvecs targeting higher boost?

Post by Gpro »

Hi everyone,

I am in the middle of tuning my new Syvecs S7 Plus and noticed the ECU is targeting a higher boost pressure then I originally set. I wanted 1bar of boost in cal 1, can someone take a look to see if I have missed something that could be adding boost?
What I have is 2600KPA in my wastegate maximum pressure target table, but using a -600 wastegate map target adjuster for cal 1 which should be 2000 KPA = 1 bar of boost but in my logs it was targeting 2420 which is odd.

Hi!

Did you watch the help video?

You have some lean AFR at WOT. You may want to fix this first.

As above tips address the basics ;)

Also its bad practise to start stressing the engine without the base fuel being in the right direction (fuelMltCll1 <= 1.000), you want to be rich of your target not the other way as when limiters of any sort are applied the ECU correction is off and then its down to how good you set it up, not how good the cll control is.
~10% weak of target = bad
~10% weak of target = bad

Here is an example at high stress, fuelMltCll1 is as perfect as it will ever be, in this case 2nd gear (massive horsepower) 90-140kph in gear acceleration test with traction control active and CLL is off, and the target fuel is perfect.

Car > http://www.riceracing.com.au/rides/Seri ... harles.htm but all cars are the same wankel or reciprocating engine NA or Turbo, I see this being missed in lots of 'tunes' that come in. Some just forget or there is other technical problems like no fuel pressure sensor and incorrect set ups being done or plainly its lower down in the priority list or its just never been done? The knock control will look after it but you can do lots of things to stop it from getting a big knock in the first place :) which is always preferred.

Fueling on WOT is near perfect with under 3% adjustments from closed loop lambda, the small WOT pulls on this log is from a much colder night then when it was originally mapped so I am adjusting my air charge temp multiplier to get it fueling spot on again. And as for running very lean on WOT, keep an eye out when TC engages. As it naturally lean spikes.

So to answer my own question Callibration switch target needs to be set to Maximum target, not target limit?

^ I'm not talking about lambda spikes when fuel is cut ;) anyway just trying to help you.
And yes is your answer to other question as per help video which explains it very well.
Once you do more you will get better at it, log some more parameters that are pertinent, just be careful while learning ;)

I will do thanks!, added fuel in all areas where it was lean and made some adjustments to colder air charge temps. Thanks for your help.
