cam sensor ground

Hi the car is a my98 on s6 pnp, the car had a custom loom fitted, what pin on the ecu would I earth the cam sensor to?

Any sensor ground pin.

Surely the loom already has this though ?

Unlikely, but: if it's the cable screen it needs to go to chassis/power ground.

That's great thanks managed to find a pin out, it was a custom loom made up for hawk heads so the cam sensor wasn't wired in. Another question, I wired the grounds for the avcs to the aux connector and alls good the cars running and avcs is going in to closed loop, rather than use the aux connector for a ground could I use the ground B13 which is used for engine sensors?

Never connect any power loads to sensor ground.

It's called sensor ground for a reason

If the Aux connector you refer to has a sensor ground also, then yes you can use that for sensors. Not loads.

Sorry I didn't make that very clear, its the phase sensors for the avcs I'm talking about, can I wire the earth for them to B13 since they are sensors?

yes it is fine to wire sensor grounds....to the sensor ground pin.
