Look for one in a scrappers from a mk4 or 5 Vauxhall Astra, both of those are "normal", and plentiful

Acura used a throttle cable to APP sensor adapter. It will take a throttle cable and give you two 0-5v signals output. This simplifies the install as you can keep your existing throttle pedal and cable, all you need to do is possibly change the end on the cable (for length) and mount the APP adapter where it will best fit. I have used them a few times with a lot of success.

If you find a 2004-2008 TL or TSX they hide them in the cowling. Typically on the right hand side for LHD cars.

I think Paul mentioned ages about about some Mercedes use a linear sensor on the pedal, remote mounted so to speak.

But really...just get a Subaru pedal. Readily available and they work.

Obviously they offer plug n play kits for some Focus models...so there must be some options.

But from the picture you posted of a pedal...it looks like a simple bulkhead/vertical mounted pedal. Not too dissimilar to a Subaru pedal.

And the Subaru pedal with the metal arm means it's easy to cut/adapt/shape the pedal arm to whatever you want. I used the Subaru base but ended up putting an Audi rubber pedal lower onto it for mine so the pedal looked more appropriate for the car

I had bought a complete Audi pedal...but overall it would have been far more difficult to use despite similar mounting arrangements

Ok, got an email back from ryan,

“The Focus RS Pedal is a odd one, one signal goes direct to ECU and is PWM Signal based. The other signal goes to the BCM and then sent over Canbus.

For your project suggest to use one of a VAG car as they are 2x Linear Pots“

So that’s that then! Anyone want a mk2 or mk3 focus pedal haha!

Stevie, what model/year is the scobby pedal from?

I think it was an 05/06 STI or something, but loads of them are similar.

eg, and ideally ask seller to cut some wiring so you can get the connector too.

Or not sure if Tim might have connectors.
