vbat vs rpm

Post by Andy.F »

Has anyone seen anything like this before? vbat dropping with rpm increase.

Belt is tight, nothing is sequenced to come in at rpm/load such as fuel pumps etc

vbat drops into the 10's.

Boost, IDC, WG, AFR, TPS are all moving less than 5% during wot 6000-8800rpm so no drastic load changes on pumps/coils etc

Cant see your scaling to see how bad the variation is, but did see some odd behaviour not too long ago when main wire on alternator was not tight.

Also affected fuel pressure.

Cursor is on the Vbatmax (see sidebar) and pop up is on the Vbatmin to show the variation. 10.9 - 13.9v

All connectors have been checked, just wondering if anyone has seen this perhaps as a result of a failing alternator or battery?
