Preferred Crimper?

Post by Bikey »

Apologies if this has already been covered (I couldn't find anything)- what is the preferred crimping tool(s) for the S8 connector pins? Is something specific needed or will something like the Paladin 2033 or a Metripack crimper work well?

Thanks

I would try those two tools and see what the crimps are like. I use a Durite tool intended for junior and microtimer terminals and that does a great job for around £50.

I've used a cheap WeatherPack/MetriPak crimper (like the one DelCity sells) to do a few connectors quite successfully.

Now that you posted it I might buy the Paladin die just to try it out.

The second of those (for JT terminals rather than JPT).
