can you verify the port on the laptop works with other devices ?

And are you using the same ethernet cable both times ?

I've tried 2 different Ethernet leads wired into the ECU (even using a new set of crimps in the connector). I've rung out the lead with a meter, even sent a photo of the wiring to my Syvecs distro to double check. I've used my laptop and my desktop, both have working ports as I use them to connect to my home network. Clicked on SNetServer to check that all the ports are enabled in the driver. Turned off all my firewalls and windows defender - but still no joy.
This ECU is new out of the box and I've never been able to connect to it so today I'm sending it back for testing.
Who would have thought my car build would be stumped by IT issues :)
