Triggering Radiator Fan relays

Hi all, recently switched from alcatek to syvecs as part of my 99 Type R build. Fitted a new engine but retained the existing radiator and single fan which worked prior to removal.

The fan no longer kicks in when it should, so i've seen coolant temps over 100 degrees a couple of times during idle testing/setup.

I've replaced the relays, checked fuses etc so wondered if theres a way to trigger the relays/override the fan without having to get the car up to temperature?

If I can eliminate the relays I'll then test the plugs and fan.

If anyone could do a quick how to in scal that would be great. Thanks

Has this ever worked correctly ?

How are you reading temperature ?

Syvecs Manual here

Syvecs pinout for MY99

According to that the fan should be on Aux3, you could go into output testing in SCal and manually turn that output on to see if the fan or relay energises. And also check in I/O pin assignments to see if the fan is actually assigned to that output.

Hi chap, thanks for the reply. Yes the rad fan worked fine prior to removal and changing to syvecs.

Monitoring temps via toucan.

I'll have a look at the links you've posted
