its ok, im convinced ive done something wrong. im going to go pin-out the injectors today.. and i HOPE i make a mistake.

i dont sit on the limiter... i only touch it briefly, during the start of the burnout.. and sometimes while going up the gears if it cant disengage the box.

No need to pinout as such.

Get a small test lamp or buzzer and test each output which you can then correlate to which cylinder it should be, then you know for sure.

Must admit...first time I actually did this, I'd wired to some wrong cylinders somehow !! lol Although there'd been quite a few changes to my wiring over the years between different plugs, ecu's and other stuff. I guess no surprise I got confused.

How do you have the fuel cut severity set on yours ?

first of all, id like to apologize to everyone

i fixed it, nice and smooth now.

the issue: rev limit set to fuel. but the ignition cut was still being used. i by mistake by not looking at the "ignition cut active time" it was st to 2 secs put it to zero. and all of a sudden the engine was really happy and smooth with no knock being recorded.

so even with the limiter set to fuel type, it still references the ignition cut.

im still learning on this platform. so i apologize if i have offended anyone, especially the very helpful syvecs staff :)

yes yes. should of gone to spec savers.. still doest explain why it hates an ignition cut..like really hates it. il fine tune it abit more. but that was just revving it in the workshop,
with the ignition cut, it was building alot of boost, and the more boost it made the more knock i was getting when the ignition was coming back on.(each big bang out the exhaust would trigger the knock, i have it on the dash as a warning flag) also, almost solid mounted engine shaking the car pretty bad.

il do a video for you peter :)

launch is still loud, but the engine seems happy with it :)

As said...when there is an ignition cut, presumably also if fuel is not 100% cut at that time you're throwing a lot of unburnt fuel about.

Fuel...air...heat and off/on ignition is going to make bangs.

If you're cutting all fuel, or even most fuel but spark/combustion could potentially continue even in a very lean but safe form in the chamber...then it should be pretty quiet.

I'd say the problem is simply raw fuel in all the wrong places.

thanks guys. yeah i know about the ignition cut noise. cant avoid it. ALL OK. il stick with a fuel cut for the time being. test it at the track and fine tune the severity. cant be dropping skids down the road around here....or winding it out banging gears, all = jail.
Thanks again.
1 more thing learnt :D
