MKIV Supra VVTI now working

Post by Wez »

Hey All,

Maybe Ryan can add some more info to this but it looks like the Solaris S6 is now confirmed as working on the VVTI with DBW and VVTI control.

It's mine! :)

I haven't got it back yet, Ryan's got a few bits & bobs left to do. I'm looking forward to the extra, lower-down torque & power that seem to have been released, but especially looking forward to becomming a bit more involved with my ECU; datalogging especially and perhaps having a fiddle about with the traction control settings.

The Solaris TC is very very good.

When me and Ryan were testing I was running R888s in the rain, I was able to keep my foot planted.

Have you fiddled with it much since then Wez?
I gather you can add G sensors and the like (although I can't as I believe all the Solaris' inputs have been used up, the VVTi bits nab 4!)

Not really, although I did demonstrate it a week back with cold tires and frosty evening, very entertaining :D

Still havent tried it with the stock G sensor, this is on my todo list.

As far as I am concerned, any time that suits you... but best speak to Ryan as well :)

Cheers,

Pat.

Ryan told me that you wanted to check the cold start enrichment before I could collect it?
I can't wait to get it back! :)

I'll have a look at it in the morning :) It should be fine, but when was the last time that theory and reality concurred ? ;)

Cheers,

Pat.

Any news Pat?
I think the only day I'll be able to get up to collect the car in the next week or so is this Thursday. Is it 100% ready as far as you & Ryan are concerned? I don't want to rush you, obviously I'd rather it be right than in need of tweaks. :)
