Re: Lambda to afr

Pet hate of mine...WHY OH WHY use AFR!!! Lambda is fuel independent. AFR is meaningless unless you know the precise fuel mixture, which is hit and miss with pump fuel at the best of times.

Stick with lambda units, IMHO

Re: Syvecs map sensor identification

I doubt the calibration is the same, but the relavant data is printed on it. If you don't know how to interpret it wait until a mapper can check and tweak the Cal.

Re: Syvecs map sensor identification

If you buy a reputable replacement sensor it should come with a calibration sheet. A KA sensor for example is nominally 0.5V=0bar and 4.5V=full range but it will have a spec sheet with it stating the 0 bar voltage "offset" (typically within a few mV of 0.5V, e.g. 0.498V) and "span&quo...

Re: Engine trip error code 1013

You probably need to update the Toucan firmware; earlier versions didn't decode all of the messages there are now and, also, the un-decoded error code was incorrectly displayed! 1013 is, I'm pretty sure, actually error 113 which would be "Coolant Pressure Trip" so is something you should g...

Re: Stack data stream addition

The Syvecs CAN echo uses a Syvecs-specific protocol (which got changed without notice recently by the way) to encode the frame/slots of the CAN stream directly. I would be very surprised if any other Dash happened to use the same protocol, but I guess it's possible. The first thing to get hold of wo...

Re: Connecting Racelogic VBox to Svvecs CAN system

S6 is only 1Mbit/s, unless you connect an I/O expander in which case it runs a bespoke, non-standard, 1.3Mbit/s point-to-point CAN link that cannot be shared with other devices. S6+ has a built in I/O expander on an internal CAN bus and an outward-facing CANbus that is connected vi an internal "...

Re: Flex fuel sensor

Set the input type to Bipolar. Only the AU types need to be set to thermistor. Found that out myself a few years ago even though it's counter-intuitive when the sensor "needs" a pullup enabled so you'd think thermistor for sure.

Wire the diode in back at the ecu - much easier and, anyway, where it ought to be. Or buy a ready made conversion loom ;)

Re: audi coils

I've wired these in for people a few times for various ECUs.

Apart from +12V and the trigger, there are two grounds. One is supposed to be taken back to ground pins at the ECU and the other taken to the engine block. They worked for me wired like that, anyway!
