Re: DBW Wiring/config

He means common sense would suggest if the motor is connected correctly, applying + to + and - to - would cause the blade to open. And then if you filled in all the tables as per the help video....life would be good. Having done my own car and another recently....with motor connected as above in bot...

Re: Flat Foot Shift RPM

Some of these would be cheaper and I'd think a 50 bar or thereabouts would cover most clutches, when I bought the 100bar I'd no notion of what sort of pressures I'd see in there. eg cheaper options http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/automation-control-gear/sensors-transducers/pressure-sensors//?redirect-...

Re: Flat Foot Shift RPM

You could use any manner of sensors on the pedal really, no reason why that couldnt be adapted. I just used pressure because it was simple as my clutch is hydraulic. It's a 100bar KA sensor, but there are probably cheaper ones out there. Like you with previous setups I'd microswitches then mucked ab...

Re: Flat Foot Shift RPM

The graph will vary depending how fast you operate the pedal really. So from a point of view of triggering a flat shift....it should be pretty reliable as you'd trigger the open loop cut on the up-voltage somewhere....where you decide. But at least it is something you can easily adjust, whereas a sw...

Re: gp ecu wiring

Any idea who made the loom ?

That sounds a little odd, do you know exactly where on the clocks it was connected ?

And are you absolutely sure it is pin 6 ?

Re: 2003 Ford Focus RS - sensors question ?

It would take a considerable time unplugged for it to lose the clock, so that's odd. Can you re-load the calibration and program it ? And again...I'd be checking all wiring, especially where any work was carried out in case something is shorted out somewhere or plugged in the wrong place. Or just un...

Re: 2003 Ford Focus RS - sensors question ?

Clear and dismiss the errors.

Or do they keep coming back ?

Are you sure all your wiring is plugged in, correct and undamaged ?

And presumably there is not actually 20v at the car ?

If you key off and on again, does it always return to same errors ?

Re: IGN output load capability?

Given the size of some of the wiring pins used on the ecu etc....not sure I'd want to risk a 100% duty load running through them at high current even if the ecu could handle it ? Even if the IGN's do use the larger pins. Unless it was still short duration run time at that duty ? You'd also be genera...
