Re: What Pin for rolling launch

John, since there is no such strategy as "rolling launch", there is also no pin associated with it. What you are looking at is an effect and it can be realised in more than one way. Conceptually, "rolling launch" is a mechanism to increase the air mass flow rate through the engin...

Re: Multiple CAN Bus Outputs

Jman, CustomCAN is only output on one of the CAN buses. But the clue is in the name.... CAN bus :) This means that it can connect to more than two devices, ie you can connect your datalogger AND your dash to the same bus. You will just need to make sure that it is terminated correctly - the ECU is a...

Re: LOW IMPEDANCE INJECTOR battery voltage latency

T04GTR, Low impedance are not supported on the S6, therefore there is no latency table. You can of course add ballast resistors to low impedance injectors and run them that way, in which case the normal latency table will be fine. To be clear, the S6 does not have the necessary current sensing hardw...

Re: ENGINE PRE OILING PUMP/ACCUSUMP control

Hiya T04GTR! Pre-start oil priming is something I did on an Impreza many years ago to get round one of the perceived issues with that engine design. It worked well, but I had it on a manual switch. Was pretty cool for doing oil changes too. Just wind off the filter, put a bucket under the engine, tu...

Re: problem with axis and rotating maps

Hiya Emi! I can see what you're asking, but you are asking for something that is not sensible. The axis arrangement is designed to allow you to see the map.... this means that the map values must increase as you move up the Y axis. This is indeed so with fuel, you start with low pulse widths and the...

Re: Some advice please

If you want to get the 350Z dash to work then you'll need to send it the information it expects to receive - in essence treat the project as if it was a 350Z and install the 350Z CAN bridge so that the S6 can send the dash related information to the dash. The rest of the wiring would be as you alrea...

Re: Canbus specifications

Gents, In answer to the questions : 1) The link speed when running Custom CAN is 1Mbps. Frames are dispatched every 500uS if they are required - 20 frames, 500uS per frame, yields a maximum individual frame rate of 100 frames per second, for a total of 2000 frames per second. There is plenty spare c...

Re: Hardware Calibration Switch

Gents,

for the record the S6 has got on board CAN bus termination, so that's one end of the bus sorted, it's up to you to terminate the other end :)

Cheers,

Pat.

Re: Syvecs CAN to Arduino

Paul, using an Arduino on a CAN bus opposite an S6 is perhaps a bit of an ask.... a bit like trying to do Seti@Home on an Abacus ;) That being said.... You will most likely be trying to receive Custom CAN from the ECU - this causes the S6 CAN bus to operate at 1Mbit/sec bus speed. In the Custom CAN ...
