Re: Traction control without lateral G or steering angle

It's a good point, I suspect a fair few will just use a fudged sensor reading to fool the ECU, I did for a while but have just wired in 2 axes of a 3 axis accelerometer. Another option could be to use reference wheel speed differential to determine whether the car is cornering, in the way that RLTC ...

Knock Warning Output Behaviour?

Hi, I have a LED indicator which is grounded by the knock warning out put, I'd like to know what condition is needed to be met in order for it to flash, and to remain illuminated until ECU reboot. Logic would suggest to me that it's something along the lines of, it flashes if any knock is detected/i...

Re: Using two calibration switches

Yes, sounds right - that's exactly what I've been doing this evening. I'll also be using the same +5v and angnd to supply my accelerometer. Wire the switches in parallel, not series. Once you've got it wired in, make sure that the threshold voltages in 'Sensors - Traction Control Switch' are correct...

Re: Have you thought about a Flexi Fuel strategy?

You can get it for 85p + VAT per litre from http://www.greenergy.co.uk if you buy 50 litre drums - although that price was given in November 2008 Now that's more appealing. :) What's the legality of storing 150l of fuel in your garden shed/garage? I wonder, as Green Energy supply Tesco's with their...

Re: What do you think of these Bosch 1000cc High Imp Injectors

I think the ebay add you lifted that from about the 023 is telling porkies. AFAIK the 044 is their best offering, other than the tweaked (or carefully selected) 044, which is the 413 and can sustain 200lph to beyond the pressure of the 044. 413's appear to be hard to find, friends have sourced them ...

Re: Have you thought about a Flexi Fuel strategy?

That's a good read, Wez. :) I hadn't realised the corrosive properties of E85 (thought it only applied to methanol), that's a pain for my in tank 044, though I guess in E85 land I'm going to be needing 2 external pumps anyway so a steel cased lifter pump can go intank. Yes you need lots of E85, inje...

Re: Have you thought about a Flexi Fuel strategy?

That would be nice for if/when we get E85 in the UK. Just been reading some details of this on the megasquirt forum, would save messing with duel tanks etc. Flex sensors appear to also return fuel temp (though would need processing), so you could utilise that too. http://www.megamanual.com/flexfuel....

Brilliant, thanks Charlie. :) Would it be possible, at your discretion, to move the following threads to it, please? http://www.solaris-ecs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=84 http://www.solaris-ecs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36 http://www.solaris-ecs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=...

Re: Bosch LSU Wideband Sensors

That is what I would like to do Wez but I don't especially want to spend £100+ on an NTK sensor when I already have three different Bosch wideband sensors in different cars. If the S6 could control a Bosch 7057 then I would plumb it straight in. Looking ahead - I would like each vehicle to have the...

Feature Request/Wishlist Section?

Howdo, :)

Rather than have random threads scattered around, would it be possible to have a section where requests can be made, and progress be updated?
And maybe a thread for each product containing the road-map and features/bugs currently being worked on?

Cheers,
Jezz.
