Re: Engine Cut for cartek XR
Must be some oddity with the S7 compared to the S8. Your configuration is identical to what I have 2 x S8's running with with the Cartek. I guess you could maybe play with a resistor inline ( not sure on value ) to try and drop the voltage input to closer to 5v ? Maybe the input is confused with rec...

Re: Engine Cut for cartek XR
Just checked again, was in work and couldn't earlier.
C13 is a configurable input. So do you have the pullup off ? so it is just a regular 0-5v input
upload your cal

Re: Engine Cut for cartek XR
Odd.
Try and test as you say, measuring the Cartek white wire when not connected to the ecu.
I assume the blue button on the Cartek isn't flashing any faults ?

Re: Engine Cut for cartek XR
Actually, you won't need to as you've used a 0-5 volt input that is not configurable.
On S8, it works easy. Unless there's something the S7 not happy with.
But log the raw input to see what is seeing.

Re: Engine Cut for cartek XR
And input is configured as 5v ?
Datalog the raw input to see what it's doing/seeing.
All works fine on a couple of S8's I've done.
Ask on the Facebook group, more traffic there.

there is no requirement for a pullup.

Re: Engine Cut for cartek XR
C13 is fine, it's a 5v input, and as the instructions clearly say, the Cartek outputs 12v when on. So active High.
As to whether that is your problem with car not running for more than 5s, no idea.
I would assume if engine was not enabled, it would not start or run at all.

Re: Do the S8 IGBT Outputs have Protection Diodes
Not quite what I expected. Fuel outputs, referenced to battery ground. In their off state, the couple of outputs I measured were sitting at a few millivolts. IGN output ( not used for ignition coils ), this one with no relay plugged in was sitting around 6v, but with relay plugged in, changed to 12....

Re: Do the S8 IGBT Outputs have Protection Diodes
Unusual way to wire things. Could this be back feeding somewhere in the system and doing strange things ? Although you seem to say about the outputs pulling to ground, they would only do this when the ecu is powered and the output is active. In their off state, ecu on, they would float around 12v. A...
