Subaru Fuel Pump Controller

On the OEM Subaru fuel pump voltage controllers pins 8 and 9 connect to the ECU. Most people seem to just remove the controller and run relay only on the fuel pump, but I'd like to keep it for now if possible. Does anyone know how the OEM ECU supplies the PWM signal? I'm assuming 5V and ground switc...

Re: 3.0R Question/Map request

Thanks for the fast response Pat! Very interesting. There isn't all that much information about the trigger setup online. I have read that the EZ30D/EZ30R share the same crank trigger wheel, but have different cam triggers which makes sense given the R has AVCS. Do you know if the cam triggers are d...

3.0R Question/Map request

Hello, I'm looking at putting an S8 on a 3.0R motor (EZ30R). I'm not terribly familiar with the G10/G11/G12 terms since they don't seem to be used much in the US. Would this be a G11 motor? Does anyone know if the H6 G11 cam/crank is setup in the same way as the H4 motors of the same vintage? I know...

Re: Syvecs iPhone / iPad App Chat

Just as a quick note, for the conversion you would want to use

Before: (x/10)+0
After: 1.8*(x/10) + 32

for the conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit as the function has both a slope and offset so TempF = 1.8*TempC + 32.

Re: Preferred Crimper?

I've used a cheap WeatherPack/MetriPak crimper (like the one DelCity sells) to do a few connectors quite successfully.

Now that you posted it I might buy the Paladin die just to try it out.

Not sure if it matters, but I'm running an S8.

Live Data Viewing

Hello,

Is there a way to view data live while running in a format like SView? I configured a nice SMon dashboard which has been really helpful, but if this exists it'd be equally useful.

Thanks,
Jim

S8C A-D Resolution

Hello, I'm picking out a TPS and am debating between a 10-bit Hamlin or Honeywell unit and a 12-bit Penny+Giles unit. I'm wondering the A-D converter resolution on the ECU because I would like to avoid over-specifying the TPS (it would also be nice for some data error analysis). Thanks in advance! Jim

Re: Output Current Limits

Thanks for the quick response Pat. Adding a diode is simple enough to limit flyback voltage and save a little load on the output channels. Now knowing that the ignition outputs do have protection against excessive flyback, do they also have protection against over current as say might happen if a co...
