I had mixed results with the different CAN boards iirc. I never managed to get the SparkFun board to work, but the Seeed Studios was quite easy(?)!
Then moved to the ST boards and ran out of skill.

Re: Syvecs CAN to Arduino
I recall that I was moving away from the Arduino to a ST Micro based board with integrated CAN module.

Re: Syvecs CAN to Arduino
Five years on, you'd hope so....
In a fashion, yes, but life got in the way and I never finished it off. Haven't looked at it for a few years now so no idea what state it's in

Re: Cartek Isolator
Fair point. I'm also developing a PDM so I guess I could use the signal from the Cartek to do 'stuff' before the power goes. Not sure what though

Re: Cartek Isolator
The XR model sends a signal to the ECU indicating that the kill switch has been activated. It then gives a small delay so the ECU can prepare the engine for the electrics to 'die'. I was wondering if the Syvecs could act on this signal to maybe pull some power from the engine before it unexpectedly ...

Cartek Isolator
Can the Syvecs S6 be used with the Cartek Battery Isolator XR?
I found something that said:
AN15 = AR3 Test Mode (D5 on EU or D14 on JDM) [KILL/ALS/LAUNCH/CAL]
Is any additional config required to make the ECU kill the engine?

Re: CANBUS control of TC
Is there a list of CAN messages that the Syvecs S6 'listens' for?
Cheers

Re: Canbus specifications
Ok, so it seems that a lot of the information I needed was actually out there.... I was misinterpreting my data thinking the CAN was outputting the DLC value followed by the data value, when in fact I should be summing the two bytes into a single value..... Would still be useful to get a 'pap...
